[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]As of April 2016, the CCAY ayurvedic program has become the first ayurvedic program in Canada based on “W.H.O. Benchmark of Ayurveda.” This course has been pre-screened by the Ontario Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities and has been extensively reviewed in a process involving quality reviews of CCAY’s program and its operations.

Recognition by Ontario MPP

This program is offered under the written consent of the Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities. Prospective students are responsible for satisfying themselves that the program and the diplomas will be appropriate to their needs (e.g., acceptable to potential employers, professional licensing bodies or other educational institutions.)

In addition, as for CCAY, the ayurvedic and herbal medicine program at CCAY is accredited by the Canadian Council of Ayurveda and Yoga (CCAY), a programmatic accrediting agency for ayurvedic medical education. CCAY is the only college in Canada to receive a seven-year reaccreditation period by the Canadian Council of Ayurveda and Yoga, the longest term available. Recognition of Profession by Canadian Government

National Occupational Code of “Ayurvedic Practitioners” in Canada is : 3232

National Occupational Code of “Yoga Instructor” in Canada is : 5254

Upon completion of the course, graduates are eligible to apply for memberships at professional licensing body for Ayurveda, Canadian Council of Ayurveda and Yoga or others that represent Ayurvedic practitioners. After completion of program, the students can be registered as Registered Ayurvedic Practitioners (R.A.P.) in Canada and Practice Ayurvedic system of medicine.
